FEATURED)Graphics 1. ![]() Considering this is a newer version of the original Pokemon game 'Pokemon Red' for the gameboy color I will have to comment on that game also and I will compare and contrast both games too. The graphics within this game are really spectacular, I can clearly see the creators of this game really put in a great amount of time and effort into making this game's graphics superb, they obviously took a look back at the previous version of this game, the original Pokemon Red which was specifically made for the Gameboy Color. The creators enhanced the colouring, the sprites, the scenery and the overall presentation of the game greatly which deserves a huge amount credit, that they do deserve. I thought the creators did excellent job in making the graphics of this game amazing. Lets start with the character sprites. I fell in love with the character sprites immediately, it was almost instantaneous as I could see great improvements made in the use of colouring in this version than to the previous Pokemon Red. The characters are extremely attractive in the sense that they particularly relate to the Pokemon anime series. The hat/cap that the main character (you) is attired with in the game is really awesome, it is the original hat/cap that Ash Ketchum (the main character in the anime series) wears which I really like. The great use of fiery & ruby reds used on the hat/cap were extremely vivid and precise, the vivid reds of the hat/cap obviously tying in with the title of the game Pokemon 'Fire Red' which is extremely effective and relates to the game perfectly. The colour used in the particular clothing that 'Ash' is acquired with is also very eye- pleasing, there was also a great use of vivid reds and dazzling whites used in the making of these clothes, although not much detail was put into clothing of this character it was still particularly brilliant because as I said before, it ties in with the anime series which is ever so effective. Now for the rival character introduced in the game (Gary), this character'a visual appearance in the game isn't as pleasing as Ash's. ![]() DeSmuME FAQ 0.9.11. In the anime series Gary's top/t- shirt is very attractive in that there is a great use of blacks and grays, we didn't get that with the game. The blacks used on Gary's torso were faded and very dim and discoloured which didn't attract me to the game at all, a little bit more effort into Gary's clothing would have made a great impact on my thoughts and opinions of the graphics used on this character's clothing. However, having said that, there was tremendous efforts used in the characters facial expression and hair, there was great uses of browns and whites. The brown colouring for his hair were fantastic, there were good visual aids used in this particular area of the characters sprite, even on his face too, the pale- ish white colours were used effectively and they didn't go too heavily on the shading also which is very good and great to see. All in all, the character sprites in this game were generally impressive and should be given credit. The Scenery - Oh my word, the scenery in this game is extremely, extravagantly epic in my opinion. Lets start with the trees, caves, routes, pathways, all of the natural substances in the game. The trees and grass in this game were utterly amazing and that's an understatement. There were many shadings of green used in this particular aspect of the game, there were light, faded greens which may have signified the light shining upon them which is extremely effective as it relates to everyday life, plants do react to sunlight in that way. As we began to look at the outer parts of the trees the colours got darker and darker as they sprung out from the core of the tree, not forgetting that the trees are tightly spaced together, this ties in with the darker colours that were used in the making of the trees as we all know as trees get closer parts of it shuffle behind another tree, this prevents light reaching that part of the tree and thus the greens get darker. Very powerful and we can relate to this, this is what I want to see in a game's graphics - attention to detail. This also applies to the grass. The colours of brown used in the making of the outer parts of the caves were also very precise and clear as there were many different shadings used. There were also cracks in the caves which obviously shows the creators really went all out and there was evidence that attention to detail was key here and they pulled it off fantastically. The interiors of the caves were also amazing, the lighting was reduced and it really made me feel as if I was in a cave myself, this is very effective and again ties in with real life. The flooring of the interiors of the caves were also worked on very well, there were great shadings of browns/oranges/greys and blacks, as you can see many colours were introduced and were all mixed sparingly, meaning it wasn't patchy or uneven. The towns - the towns in this game were specifically tremendous, there was so much attention to detail. I thought 9. 0% of the towns in the game were extremely well built and structured however, I didn't particularly like Pallet Town, the first ever town you visit as it's Ash's hometown of course. The colouring used in the house and scenery of this town were really inadequate, all features of the town appeared to be really faded and I refer to the colours when I say that. They made me feel like I was in the 1. And, for the sheer size of the town, it's very small therefore time could have been spent on improving the visuality of the town, the appearance. As I said before, this is the first town a player of this game will see therefore it must be very pleasing and attractive as it will appeal to the player and make them want to see more of the amazing graphics in store for them in the game. Having said that, many towns were extremely detailed and a lot of effort went into them, especially Saffron City, The use of gold in this town was very attractive. The town was itself was spectacular, the cobbled paths were really attractive, great use of grays/whites and blacks were used. The buildings locations in the town weren't too great in my opinion, some necessary buildings were hard to locate at times. But seriously, this was one of the best towns in the game. Sounds 1. 0/1. 0In my precious review of the game Pokemon Shiny Gold I referred to this game many times about the sound, so this will very similar to that particular section of that review. The sounds in this game were very similar to that of the sounds in Pokemon Red. I'm very pleased with that actually because the sounds in that game were amazing, it brought back special memories. The classic sound that plays when you catch your first Pokemon, even though it plays every time you catch a Pokemon it's still pretty awesome and really nice to listen to. It makes you feel that you completed a goal and to be proud of yourself. I also really enjoyed the creepy tunes of the basements in the game it makes you feel that your on a mission and you can't be seen. It really pulls on your senses, you're always alert and ready for battle in the basements because of the music. The Pokemon battle music is also very awesome to listen to, it's a really fast tune that gets your blood pumping and makes you really competitive and therefore you really want to win, and probably will do so. The music also has great vibes to it. I really enjoyed listening to music in Saffron City, the music in that city is very calm and relaxing it really soothes you after all the battles in the routes before that town. The music in Celadon's Game Corner is specifically amazing too, it is a very happy and playful tune and was a perfect choice for that particular venue. Also, the Pokemon league music was extremely fierce! The tunes were very fast and upbeat and filled you with determination and at times ruthlessness, it also made you believe that you could conquer the league and that's all I needed to succeed. Addictiveness 9/1. This game is very, very addictive, oh my word is it addictive. When I was a kid I would play this game until the cows came home and I still do play it all the time, it's an amazing game and it really created my childhood! Amelia | Fire Emblem Wiki. Amelia“When I was just a child, she was stolen away by bandits. My father had already passed away, so I was totally.. Amelia talking about her mother in a support conversation with Duessel. Amelia (アメリア Ameria) is a playable character in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. She is an orphan from the small Grado village, Silva, and is a young girl who is inexperienced in combat. Amelia's motivation to join the Grado army stems from her broken childhood, where in her village Silva was attacked by bandits. Her father was killed in the raid and her mother, Melina, was kidnapped and presumed dead by Amelia. After this event, Amelia vowed to be the greatest soldier Grado will ever behold in order to protect her loved ones. She first appears in her new residence, Serafew, where one of Eirika's companions or Eirika herself visits her house just as she leaves, finding a Torch that she had dropped in her rush to join the army. She is later seen in three possible locations. Carcino, where she joins a Grado military force assigned to capture Eirika. Hamill Canyon, where she appears as part of Grado's forces serving Aias. Fort Rigwald, where she defends Duessel from Gheb's ranting and is sent to the front lines to die as punishment. At first, she is merely one of Grado's forces fooled by the propaganda declaring the siblings Eirika and Ephraim evil nobles of Renais, but when encountering them or the cavalier. Franz, her opinion quickly changes and she defects to their side. She then aids Eirika and Ephraim in their journey; afterward, she settles down in either Grado (solo ending, where she helps reconstructing her homeland) or Renais (where she either marries Franz and serves in the military, or marries Ross and lives in Ide with him). It is also possible that she tries traveling Magvel with Duessel or Ewan. Personality. Edit. Amelia is a kindhearted girl with a strong desire to defend those she cares for since the incident in Silva. She is also stubborn and quite hesitant to speak about her past, but concedes to discussing it to people she feels close to, like Franz. It is hinted that she has a crush on Franz in her Support Conversations with Neimi. Also, in one such Support Conversation, it is revealed that she likes to cook. In another Support Conversation, it is shown that she had a songbird before she joined the Grado army. Base Stats. Edit. Growth Rates. Edit*7. Japanese version**4. Japanese version. Promotion Gains Edit. From Knight. Supports Edit. See also: Amelia/Supports. Amelia is a rather unique unit. She starts out as a Trainee, with three tiers instead of the typical two in Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones, enabling her to fill a variety of niches, such as an additional Paladin or General . However, to reach these classes, she must first be raised to level 1. As a result, training her may require considerable effort. The main thing that requires effort into training Amelia is her low joining level and base stats. Upon joining the party, she will be vastly outmatched by even the weakest of enemies the player encounters. The main role she shares is that of a growth unit, starting weak but theoretically becoming one of the strongest characters on the roster. Amelia has several classes available as her ending promotions, starting with the basic General, Paladin, or Great Knight classes. Clearing the game once on both Eirika and Ephraim's path will open up the Super Recruit option, though it has very few benefits over her other classes aside from the higher speed cap, which is nullified by her low constitution. As a General, Amelia has the highest caps and constitution, but the lowest movement. As a Paladin, Amelia has the lowest caps, but the highest movement. As a Great Knight, Amelia falls in between these two extremes. Promotion Choices. Edit. In game, she will perform competently in any of her three generic classes, and which path you should take will depend on your play- style, or what class you need more to fulfill your desires for your team. However, due to a variety of options, whichever one you pick is preference. For example, the Paladin is more ideal for going through the story due to its high movement, but its lower caps are not the greatest for Creature Campaign/Link Arena. Promoting her to a Great Knight offers more balance between her stats, but her lower constitution makes using axes a bit more difficult than if she was a General. Moving her into the Super Recruit class gives her a notably high speed cap, but her low con and movement can be problematic in the story (though, post- game wise, all she needs is a few Body Rings). While choosing might be a bit difficult, take whatever class you need more. Enemy only; joins unequipped. Description. Edit. Rose of the War. A young soldier from a small village in Grado. She is honest and sincere. Appears in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. Base Stats. Edit. Rarity: ✯✯✯✯✯. Amelia/Heroes Quotes. Recruitment (Ephraim's route)Edit. With Ephraim. Ephraim: You're a Grado soldier? But you're just a child. Amelia: I am not a child! I'm a soldier of Grado, and I will defeat every soldier of Frelia I meet! Ephraim: Is that so? Guess I'm ready then. Amelia: Um.. Ephraim: Is that the stance you're going to use? You'll drop your lance that way. I'm Prince Ephraim of Renais. Why don't you surrender and come with me? Amelia: Wha- what are you going to do to me?! Ephraim: Calm down. As long as you don't try to stab me, I won't do a thing to harm you. Amelia: You lie! You're a liar! Everyone knows about Prince Ephraim of Renais. He's a beast who attacks any woman he sees.. Ephraim: ... Right, this has gone far enough. I am not going to hurt you. If you're scared, throw down your weapon and run away. But.. if you're willing to listen, I'd like to ask for your help. You must realize this whole war is madness, right? Something is wrong in Grado. Ephraim leaves)Amelia: ... I- I'm.. With Franz. Franz: You.. You're a girl?! Amelia: Ah! Don't make fun of me! I'm a soldier of Grado! Prepare yourself, Frelian dog! Franz: W- wait a minute!(Amelia trips)Amelia: Oof. Franz: Are, are you all right? It's not surprising you fell over from that stance. Can you get up? Amelia: Sh- Shut up! Franz: Did you hurt your knee? I know how it feels. I did it often as a recruit myself. To be honest, I still do it more than I should. Amelia: ... Franz: I'm Franz. I'm a Knight of Renais. What's your name? Amelia: I'm Amelia. Franz: Do you think I could ask you to surrender? This may be odd, but I really have no desire to fight you. Amelia: ... Franz: I get the feeling you don't want to fight either. Am I right? Amelia: I.. B- but.. I've heard prince Ephraim takes females prisoners and uses them as palace slaves. If I surrender, will I be forced to work in the palace, too? Franz: N- no, don't be silly! Prince Ephraim would never do such a thing.. I think. Amelia: You think? Franz: No, he wouldn't! Of course not. You have my word of honor. Amelia: .. Well, you seem sincere. I'll trust you, Franz. Recruitment (Eirika's Route)Edit. With Eirika. Eirika: Who are you? Amelia: What? What? Eirika: Are you from around here? You should find someplace to hide. These men are after me. It's not safe. Amelia: But.. But I'm.. Eirika: Yes? Amelia: I'm a Grado soldier. I'm here to stop the princess of Renais.. Eirika: Huh? You're with Grado? Amelia: And you're Princess Eirika? But the commander said Eirika's a cruel and merciless fiend.. Eirika: What? No, I'm.. I don't know what Grado's officers have been telling you, but.. Our two countries are at war, so I suppose they can say what they want. Amelia: .. Mistress Eirika.. I, uh, I surrender. I won't fight you. Eirika: Huh? Amelia: I became a soldier because I admired General Duessel's sense of honor. But the general has been very opposed to this war from the beginning.. And now I see you, and you look so sad about all of this. I don't know what's right anymore. I'm just a soldier, but I want to decide for myself. I want to understand the truth myself, to see it with my own eyes. Eirika: .. I see. So.. does this mean you're coming with us? I suppose I should ask your name then. Amelia: Amelia. Amelia of Silva. With Franz. Franz: Oh, who are you? Amelia: What? What? Franz: Are you one of the locals? This is a dangerous spot. You should hide. Here, come with me. Amelia: But.. But I'm.. Franz: I'm Franz, a Knight of Renais. What's your name? What are you doing here? Amelia: I- I'm Amelia. I'm.. Actually, I'm a Grado soldier. I'm supposed to be fighting you. Franz: Really? So, uh, you're my enemy? Amelia: .. I guess..
